The Speaker of the Kuwaiti National Assembly on Saturday, January 7, reiterated his country's continued support for the Palestinian people in achieving their legitimate and inalienable rights, and praised the Palestinians' resilience and resistance to the aggression of the Israeli occupiers.

Speaking at a meeting on the Palestinian issue convened at the invitation of the Al-Quds Youth Association, Marzouq Al-Ghanim stated that Kuwait remains committed to the 1967 law declaring war on Zionist groups and organizations.

Al-Ghanem pointed out that the laws related to Palestine and its defense are fixed and unchanged, adding that the re-drafting of the Zionist regime boycott law in the Kuwaiti National Assembly is not new and is merely an action in line with Kuwait's firm position on the Palestinian issue.

Regarding Kuwait's position in opposition to the so-called "Deal of the Century" plan in the Arab Parliament in February 2020, he said that I was throwing away a copy of the plan, which was given to me 10 minutes before my speech. He said the plan is in no way in the interest of Palestine and the Arab states.
